Front Steps Project MKE

*** UPDATE! 5.21.20*** — Thank you again to everyone who participated in my safe distance Front Steps Project!! In total I visited 43 families from all over a 20 mile radius. Seeing everyone’s smiles and excitement to capture this moment with their quarantine crew. This project was 100% donation based in which participants could donate money towards a food bank directly helping those in need during COVID-19. Some money even went to supplies for cloth masks for Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin! TOGETHER WE RAISED A TOTAL OF $835!! Thank you to everyone for your generous contribution to help others in need. Below are all the families that participated :) ENJOY!

*** UPDATE! 4.15.20*** — Front Steps Sessions has ended! Thank you to everyone who has contributed and participated in my #FrontStepsProjectMKE. So far we have raised a little over $800! And I thank each and everyone of you for your interest in giving back to the community during these times of need!

All across the country photographers are coming together by using our passion of photographing families and raising money for our cities. Born and raised in Milwaukee, it is important to me to support my city. ESPECIALLY in times of need when any help can truly go a long way!

All while keeping social distancing in mind, a photographer in MA got creative and started the #FrontStepsProject.

Starting today, I am taking five minute "Front Steps Portraits" of Milwaukee residents.  All photos will be posted in an online gallery HERE for you to download your families photos.  In exchange, I am asking you to make a good faith donation below. I will be posting these images on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #FrontStepsProjectMKE

The purpose of this project is to bring us together when we might feel isolated.  I aim to highlight the faces of our community during a time when we might not see them in passing at the grocery store, coffee shop, on the train or at the gym.  Participating in this project is also an opportunity to step up to help those who need it most right now in Milwaukee.

I will be taking images outside ONLY and from at least 10 feet away. Our session will be brief, likely just 5 minutes. This is not a typical get-dressed-up-and-pose-for-the-photographer session. Want to stand outside in your pajamas and slippers? Sounds good to me. Kids in mismatched clothes but you’re thrilled they got dressed? Fantastic. Wearing your bike gear because you’re headed off to ride a trail in the nice weather? Love it!  Be you.

In exchange for the digital file of your family portrait, I ask you to make a good faith donation in which the proceeds will go directly to local food pantries and to supplies for masks being made that are given to Froedtert, CHW, and the Medical College of WI .  Suggested donation is $20 but any amount is appreciated.

ALL SPOTS HAVE BEEN FILLED. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE BELOW FOR UPDATES IF I OPEN THIS BACK UP WITH MORE DATES! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PARTICIPATED AND DONATED TO MY CAUSE!
